A splendid Spanish painting from the second half of the 19th century. Oil on panel painting, signed Gallegos lower right, attributed to the great Andalusian painter José Gallegos y Arnosa (1857-1917). Known for his folkloric genre scenes and extraordinary attention to detail, his works were successful throughout Europe.

The style, subject matter, and technique of this painting are fully consistent with his oeuvre (the artwork is currently not accompanied by an expert opinion, but one can be requested upon payment of the relevant additional costs). The painting captures a moment of popular celebration, featuring a flamenco dancer, while music, dance, and conviviality intertwine in an engaging and light-filled atmosphere.
