Description
Authentic vintage wooden tikka/kumkum box from Rajasthan, India. These beautiful wood painted heirlooms were traditionally used to store the powder for tilaka, a Hindu mark worn on the forehead and other parts of the body. The coloured powder was made from sandalwood paste, ashes, kumkum, sindhoor, clay, or other substances.Handmade using lacquer colours. In good condition with great patina.
