We have for sale a very attractive cast brass tobacco box, complete with its original cast lid, lead liner and inner lead weight.

This lovely tobacco box is of a square form with each face decorated with a geometric design incorporating leaves and flowers. The body of the box is topped by a fluted lid, the interior of which still has its original gilding. Opening the box reveals the original removable lead liner and the original lead weight complete with its original brass finial matching that of the cast lid. The box most probably dates to the mid 19th century.

This tobacco box is 3 long (7.6cm), 3 inches (7.6cm) wide and approximately 5 inches (12.7) high and is in an excellent original condition with nothing more to report than the accumulation of polish one would expect from a 150+ year old piece.
