Description

Gilt bronze case with much of its patination adding depth the quality casting, well detailed with armorial themes and motifs surmounted with an acorn finial, a powerful message from the French. Dated to 1890.

The 8 day bell striking movement by Japy Freres has an outside count wheel with long pendulum and brocot adjustment above the number 12, the movement is numbered 8436.

500mm in length, 250 wide and 100mm deep.
