Description

A delightful Victorian small writing table in satin birch. The top has its original maroc leather inset scriber with ‘Greek Key’ pattern tooling, above a single mahogany lined drawer with turned knob handles and original lock, flanked by carved brackets. The table is raised on turned circular section tapering legs with original brass cup castors on white china wheels. The rear is finished to the same standard as the front, allowing the table to stand in the centre of a room if so desired.

Condition and Details of Restoration
This item is in original structural condition and is completely sound. The polish has been revived, by our own craftsmen, by hand in the traditional manner. It shows some attractive signs of fading and minor small marks as might be expected on an item of this age, but nothing unsightly in our opinion. The same can be said of the leather inset.
