A handsome and superior quality George IV mahogany pedestal desk of ‘half partners’ form, featuring a gallery top, an arrangement of nine graduated mahogany lined drawers with cock beading and knob handles to the front, and three dummy drawers and two cupboards to the rear.

The top of this desk separates from the pedestals for ease of transport.

Condition and Details of Restoration
This desk is in original structural condition. The polish has been revived, by our own craftsmen, by hand in the traditional manner. There are minor old marks under the polish, and some fading to the left hand end, as can be seen in from the photographs, but overall it is in excellent condition for its age. Some of the handles are replacements.
