Mid to late 19th century beautiful statuesque French antique giltwood & composition mirror. Gorgeous intricate and subtle flat leaf design surrounding the upper and inner parts of the oval frame with lovely raised leaf and two types of scale /'beading' around the frame borders.
Date1940s : circa 1860-1880 Dimensions129cm width / 184cm height ConditionVery good. A little peeling, some minor cracks and some very slight damage to the frame at the right side but this to be expected of this period and finish and modern central heating. These minor issues are all easily repaired/restored. Requires careful handling. Deserves to be placed in a large room to appreciate it at its very best. For Insurance purposes it is currently valued at £3,500. Shipping should be handed by a specialist company.
