Description
Mid Georgian fine quality Tripod Table. The top is made from a single piece of mahogany. It sits on a "birdcage", a mechanism that allows the top to rotate on the base. The fine turned pillars of the birdcage attest to the quality of the table, which can also be seen in the carving on the tripod base. The table is perfectly balanced and the top sits solidly on the base. A lovely piece of 18th century furniture. Circa 1770Diameter: 86cm
