Description

A magnificent heart shaped desk-top letter or paper clip covered in a superb piece of period Tortoiseshell with a bright patina and beautiful markings (see last photo for minor damage to one edge, insignificant but shown for accuracy).

Mounted onto the heart backing is the most adorable cast Cherub or Putti figure standing on a classical urn of flowers and waving a ribbon garland. The silver is hallmarked for London 1891, a true Victorian example the makers initials are also present, J B, for the silversmith.

The back of the clip is lucky enough to retain it's original black leather covering.

Excellent condition, measuring 4 1/2" x 3 1/2".
