Description

A superb and very handsome pair of the unusual and sought-after "Lynx" binoculars by Lawrence and Mayo, dating to c.1910. These English pocket sized Field glasses or binoculars are made from brass having been meticulously professionally re-polished to gleam.

They come with the integral compass, signed by the maker's Lawrence & Mayo (of London) and "The Lynx". Each lens has a sunshade that pulls out in bright and sunny conditions.

They come complete with a brown leather case, still in excellent condition. A beautiful pair in superb condition and measuring 4 1/2" wide x 1 3/4" deep expanding from 2 3/4" to 4" when fully opened and sun shields in operation. The case measures 5" x 2 3/4" x 4".
