Description

A charming and highly decorative Victorian Letters rack or holder created from decorative mesh brass woven in a basket design.

The front is mounted by a cast brass "Letters" plaque with the detection of the original red enamel lettering showing.

The frame is made from copper with the back "wire" at the top being shaped to create a central decorative finial and either side, two loops for wall-hanging. It would look equally at home on the desk or table-top. Excellent condition, the box measures 9 1/4" x 3 1/4" x 7 1/4" tall at rear to top of decorative finial.

Late Victorian in era, dating to c.1890.
