Description

A rare and magnificent Victorian figural inkwell cast in bronze in the form of a bird in a nest with magnificent detail and cold painted.

There is a signature (I am unable to make it out on the left hand back side of the birds feathers and a struck number on the underside. The lid lifts to reveal a white ceramic removable liner.

Victorian in era, dating to c.1880 and in excellent condition. This is a real gem for any collector. 6 3/4" x 6" x 4 1/4" tall.
