Description

An absolutely stunning antique perfume Tantalus made covered in an early resin to look like Tortoiseshell. The wonderful quality fittings which one would expect by the top-notch maker Betjemann 's of London retain their original gilding creating a very regal look.

There is not a key, I have had our locksmith look at it and he is certain the mechanism wasn't made to lock the lock barrel is pulled down to fold the bar to one side allowing access to the three original cut crystal bottles.

Dating to the early twentieth century, it remains in superb condition. The footprint of the frame measures 10 1/2" x 4 1/4" x 7 3/4" tall to top of handle. Each bottle measures 2" square x 4 7/8" tall.
