Description

Larger than most examples of these highly sought-after triple lens binoculars, these brass binoculars are clad with a fabulous cognac coloured leather.

These hard-to-find glasses with three lenses changed by the wheel at the side and indicated across the bridge labelled " Theatre ", " Field " and " Marine ".

There are also brass sun shades which pull out to reduce glare in bright light and sunshine. The eyepieces are beautifully marked by the maker "L Casella, London / Maker to the Admiralty & Ordnance" a particularly collectable pair.

Painstakingly professionally polished to create a great looking instrument, all in excellent working condition measuring 5" wide x 2 1/2" deep x 5 3/4" extending to 8 1/2" while sun shades are in operation. The case has wear commensurate with age and use and measures 5 1/2" x 3 1/4" x 6 1/2" the interior is marked for the Scottish retailer, "Lennie / Optician / Edinburgh".

Excellent condition and in full working order.
