Description

A stunning shaped picture frame made from bronze and smothered in gold, beautifully cleaned and restored to it's former glory dating to c.1900.

These frames with gilded bronze Napoleonic bees are always highly sought-after and particularly hard to come by.

The frame, is lined in a deep violet coloured silk taffeta, a striking backdrop to the gilded bronze Bees. The centre has an oval glazed aperture which measures 4 3/4" x 3 1/2".

The frame stands on it's folding easel which also incorporates a ring for wall hanging if desired.

Excellent condition measuring 10 1/4" tall x 8" wide x 3/4" thick.
