Description

A rare pair of modernist sterling silver chopsticks together with their stand all in the original presentation box.

A spectacular gift especially with the box (minor marks) containing what looks to be the original tissue paper and the set looks never to have been used, in mint condition. The box printed in gold with the three Royal Warrants to HM The Queen (Elizabeth II) to HM Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother and H.R.H The Prince of Wales.

Each of the chopsticks has a bamboo leaf decoration and the X-frame stand in a bamboo design.

Fully hallmarked 925 Silver (Sterling) with the London import mark for 1989. the are also signed A P.L.C for Asprey, Public Limited Company.

Founded in 1781 by William Asprey, was originally based in Mitcham, Surrey until the company moved into central London premises. From there, Asprey advertised ‘articles of exclusive design and high quality', whether for personal adornment or personal accompaniment and to endow with richness and beauty the table and homes of people of refinement and discernment.

The Chopsticks measure 8" in length and the box measuring 11" x 4" x 1 1/2".
