Description

A superb and very handsome pair of the unusual and sought-after "Lynx" binoculars by Lawrence and Mayo, dating to c.1900. These English pocket sized Field glasses or binoculars are made from brass having been meticulously professionally re-polished to gleam.

They come with the integral compass, signed by the maker's Lawrence & Mayo (of London) and "The Lynx". Each lens has a sunshade that pulls out in bright and sunny conditions.

This pair is lucky enough to have come with it's original leather case in good condition.

A beautiful pair in superb condition and measuring 4 3/8" wide x 1 3/4" deep expanding from 3" to 4 1/4" when fully opened and sun shields in operation. The case measures 3 1/2" wide x 4 1/2" tall x 2" deep.
