Description

This is a very attractive antique runner from North West Persia which dates from around 1900. The runner has a soft warm red field with a row of indigo hexagons with stylised floral design. It has triple borders and skittle guard stripes in very warm cinnamon and ochre colours. There are four characterful zoomorphic devices to the carpet field at one end.
This has some minor losses to the fringe at one end and a good pile throughout.
It is a practical size measuring 276 cms by 102 cms.
