Description
This is an unusual and colourful rug from Khotan,East Turkestan. It features quite a vibrant colour palette and very interesting design of stylised angular vines in its cimson field, enclosed by indigo trefoil borders. The rug dates from around 1920 and is in excellent condition throughout, with a good soft pile and complete ends and selvedges.It measures 258 cms by 123 cms.
