Rams Head Antiques

Description

This is a very good pair of oil portraits painted on canvas during the mid Victorian era circa 1860 by a follower of John Linnell (1792/1882). The pictures are of John Croft Vicar of Catterick (1841/69) and his wife Mrs Croft as inscribed verso.
The paintings are expertly crafted and are nicely mounted in their original ornate gilt frames.
The frames measure 52 cms wide by 60 cms.
