Description

This is a fine watercolour portrait of a Catholic Cardinal in pensive thought very well executed by the artist who has deeply captured the very character and mood of this Clergyman. The portrait is in good condition for its age, circa 1870, with some minor ageing and foxing marks. This is in soft pastel colours under glass, framed in a good quality ornate gilt frame that compliments the work.
The portrait measures 54 cms by 44 cms to the extremities of the frame.
