Description

This is an attractive Khamseh carpet from South West Persia which dates from around 1920. The soft woollen carpet has a warm and subdued colour palette with a lozenge shaped indigo and ivory medallion set within a rich rust red field enclosed by large indigo spandrels with ivory hooked medallions to each corner and pretty multiple borders. The carpet is in very good order throughout with some slight wear to the tasselled fringes.
It measures 255 cms by 183 cms.
