Description

This is a finely woven pictorial silk rug dating from the early 20th century with an attractive colour palette. The rug has a central meandering tree of life design filled with flowers and birds and a stag on the right and a lion attacking a deer woven on the left. This has a high knot count so has fine detail to the images and detailed borders. This is in excellent condition overall with only slight wear to the fringes. The rug would make a most decorative piece for floor or wall hanging. This measures 153 cms x 104 cms
