Description

This is a very attracive three fold gilt wood screen which dates from around 1880. The screen has its orginal gilding to the gessoed timber framed panels and has been beautifully reupholstered in a stunning blue and gold Chinese Chinoiserie fabric with a narrow gold cabled braid which suits it perfectly. The screen has its original good quality back to back brass hinges meaning it can open both ways and is upholstered in the same fabric to both sides of the panels. The photos here included pictures of both sides of the screen. Each panel measures 52 cms and this is 162 cms in height.
