Description

This is an impressive large Champleve cloisonné urn and cover with bronze Shi Shi knop lion finial dating from around 1920. The body has profuse wirework detail infilled with colourful glazed enamels in a very attractive design of Lotus flowers and scrolls all within Ruyi and pendant borders. This is a most skilled, worked piece with a great shape and lovely shades. The urn is in excellent condition overall save for a very slight indentation to the edge of the lid. The piece is a grand item of good scale, unusual for this type of work, measuring 27 cms in height.
