Description

This is a most decorative Italian hand painted bureau cabinet made for Harrods of London dating from the mid 20th century. The pretty cabinet has a delightful shape with swan neck pediment and moulded cornice above a pair of arched panel doors painted with dolphins scrolls and urns in a lovely soft gilt. The bureau beneath has an attractively shaped fall front, hand decorated with urn and scrolls above a single frieze drawer. The piece has elegant cabriole legs. The whole body of the cabinet is meticulously hand painted in a lovely sponged pale duck egg blue. Inside the cabinet is a warm deep cream shade highlighted with delicate duck egg blue detail. The piece comes in two sections, it measures 208 cms high, 77 cms wide and 47 cms deep.
