Description

This is a very pretty pair of folk art shellwork valentines from the late Victorian period, circa 1890. The valentines are both beautifully worked with some fine detail incorporating different types of shells, flowers and even saved and dried marine finds of algae and seaweed. Both valentines are displayed in smart ebonised and gilt oval frames and they measure 29 cms by 24 cms. They are in excellent condition.
