Description

This is a beautiful 19th century Kutani lamp of good scale and high quality dating from around 1870. The large piece has exceptional hand painted detail and a superb rich colour. The gilding is a delight through the piece which has lovely panels with geisha to one side and birds in foliage to the other. There are hand painted quail to the shoulders of the piece which is raised on a carved hardwood base. This is in perfect condition with no damage or restoration.
The lamp has been rewired with modern braided cable that is in keeping with the style piece so is ready for use.
