Description

This is a fine Kashmir silk prayer rug with a high knot count and beautiful detail to the stunning floral design. The rug has a lovely soft coral field with central mihrab that frames a large urn issuing flowers surrounded by growing flower and leaf detail. This is set into a turquoise border of meandering floral vines flanked by guard stripes. The rug is in superb original condition with fringes intact and would be perfect as a very decorative wall hanging or indeed in use on the floor. It has a binding to one end that would accept a dowel to enable straight hanging on the wall should you desire it.
This is woven in pure silk and measures 120 cms by 81 cms.
