Description

This is a most impressive and really rare Indian display pedestal with a beautiful form and very decorative styling. The piece is 19th century circa 1870 and is in excellent condition throughout. It has a wonderful classically Indian design with ebonised detail, studded and carved decoration and beautiful reeded tulip bulb feet to the base. The column has its original sage green painted sections between the carved and spiral reeded detail.
The pedestal measures 102 cms high by 31 cms in diameter at the top and 40 cms wide at the base.
