Description

This is a very handsome George III style Gainsborough chair in super condition dating from around 1900.
The good quality chair is in solid mahogany with attractive detail in carved acanthus leaves on cabriole legs and ball and claw carved feet to the front legs. The chair has been reupholstered in a beautiful scarlet red silk damask which suits the piece eminently and is in excellent condition. The chair is a fine example in great condition with a good solid structure and no movement to the frame.
This is substantial in size being 108 cms high 72 cms wide by 75 cms deep.
