Description

This is a solid chestnut blanket chest with really attractive brass studwork designs and decorative metal bracket corners. The chest retains its original hand forged hinges in good order as well as its original ironwork handles to the sides. The brass stud work is in a lovely design and has a good colour. The box also has its original candlebox to the interior. This dates from the late 18th / early 19th century.
The chest is a practical size and works well as a coffee table, blanket box or at the foot of a bed, measuring 105 cms long 46cms deep and 43cms high.
