Description

This is a really decorative late 19th century rise and fall ceiling chandelier in superb condition dating from the aesthetic period circa 1890. The light has a beautiful silk tasselled thread shade that is suspended from the decorative brass circular cradle that houses the three lightbulb fittings. The heavy brass weight above can be raised or lowered to adjust the height of the chandelier. This has been rewired with traditional braided cable in keeping with the original style of the piece and has a generous amount that enables this to be hung in a high ceiling room or high landing. This large chandelier has width of 47 cms, a minimum height of 68 cms overall but could be hung with a drop of 2 metres plus if required. The brass cradle is in diameter. The bulb holders are a standard large bayonet fitting.

This is in excellent condition ready to be professionally installed.
