Description

This is a very good Victorian brass hall light with beautiful stained glass panels all in perfect condition. The lantern is a patented design by and is stamped Defiance Beals Patent to the inside of one panel. The leaded and stained glass sections are in super condition and the brass has a nice rich polished finish overall. This is a great example from around 1870 in the aesthetic taste. It still has a good Bakelite light fitting, bulb holder on wire support that accepts a standard bayonet fitting bulb.
The lantern measures 42 cms high and 20 cms square with the overall width being 36 including the scroll leaf detail.
