Description

This is a charming and decorative 19th century hall stand in cast iron faux bamboo typical of the aesthetic period, circa 1890.
The stand is by Allez Freres manufacturing of Paris with cast foundry mark to the back of the base. This has a smart black finish with antique rubbing and cracquellure to the paint. The mirror is in nice clean condition and the drip trays for umbrellas have brass lift out knobs with a central brass roundel detail to the back.
A really unusual and decorative piece. This has neat proportions at 180 cms high by 68 cms wide at the base and 50 cms wide in the main body of the piece.
It is cast in two sections and bolted together and has holes to the top to allow wall fixing if required.
