Description

This is a beautiful late Victorian blue fronted Amazon parrot circa 1880 presented in an oval glass dome raised on a later ebonised base with decorative gilt rope cabling. The adult bird is posed with head turning to the right, perched upon a dry tree root, amidst colourful flora. The specimen is in super condition and has beautiful strong colours to the feathers and piercing glass eyes.

The dome measures 27cm by 14cm by 38cms.
