Description

This is a stunning early 20th century lacquered screen in the Egyptian revival style dating from around 1925. The screen is profusely detailed throughout with typical Egyptian images and hieroglyphics multi inlaid in a range of boldly coloured decorative materials including brass, copper, hand painted lacquer and mother of pearl. The screen is superbly detailed to both sides and is in really great order overall bearing in mind the age of the piece. The three fold design is a heavy and robust construction and this makes a really dramatic impact in any situation.
The screen is 179cm high and each panel is 74 cm wide.
