Description

This is a delightful Regency sepia engraving by Francesco Bartolozzi (1727-1815) after Angelica Kauffman. The engraving depicts an interesting scene from the classics of Diana with others and cupid in a landscape where cupid has had his arrows taken and is tied to a tree. This is in a circular gilded frame that measures 34 cms in diameter.
Provenance: This were previously sold as part of the Stanstead Country House Sale at Sothebys in 1999.
