LNER Pocket Watch
RELIEF 69
The LNER operated from 1923 to 1948.
This watch has a very early low number of 69 which would date this watch to the 1920s at the beginning of the LNER.
Rare to see a "Relief" watch.
Swiss 17 Jewel movement, Calibre 534.
Unusual to have a hinged case on a railway watch in this period.
The engraving on the case is quite rubbed but still clearly legible.
Please note the condition of the dial. There are marks, hairlines and near the 11 and 4 there are repairs to the dial. Please see photos.
The case also has a lot of surface marks showing that it was well used.
Approximate dimensions: diameter 48.9mm, weight 87.2 grams.
The movement has been serviced and is working well.
