Early GWR Cup and Saucer
Great Western Railway
Return to Paddington Station.

This pattern would have been used in the 19th Century, so pre 1900.
Approximate dimensions: saucer diameter 15cm, cup diameter at top 8.5cm and 6.8cm tall, total weight 415 grams.

There are a lot of marks on both items along with crazing associated with their age especially on the saucer which also has hairlines.
The rim that the cup stands on looks as if there has been a small chip repaired.
The GWR design on both is still clear as is the maker's mark underneath.
A good example of this very early pattern with a station's name on both.
