Description

A fine example of a 19th Century oriental elm yoke back armchair. which gets its name from the shape of the curved top rail. With an s-shaped splat back, curved arms and decorative carved apron to the front, this type of chair would traditionally have been used to seat noble men and dignitaries.

This refined antique chair would be make an ideal dining chair, but would be equally suited as a hall chair, in a bedroom or study.
