PAIR OF REGENCY GILT-BRONZE CANDLESTICKS, EARLY 19TH CENTURY.
At the top are upturned turtles which the candles sit in. Following on down the candlesticks snakes are entwined around the columns down to a wreath of bird's feathers around the base and terminating in tripartite bases with three bird's claw feet.
A fascinating pair of candlesticks, rarely found beautiful objects.
