Description

An original set of four Victorian balloon back dining chairs (circa 1860) with stuff-over seats that have clearly been professionally re-upholstered in a pleasing cranberry coloured leather with brass studs resulting in a very elegant appearance. These amtoqie chairs have solid mahogany frames with an attractively carved foliate design along the middle back bar, rear sabre and nicely turned front legs – all of which are sturdy with no loose joints.

Another set of four chairs with a slightly different (shield & pyramid) carving to the middle back bar and marginally slimmer turned front legs are listed separately - the last two photos show the two sets together.
