Description

A set of six mahogany dining chairs, four plus two open armchairs/carvers, designed by Ole Wanscher (1903-1985) for A. J. Iverson. These exquisitely elegant and superbly stylish chairs date from the mid-1960s (similar in style to the Rungstedlund chair which Wanscher designed for P Jeppesen) and are a wonderful example of Ole Wanscher’s ability to refine traditional elements of chair design into a timeless classic of their own.
Raised on slightly splayed legs (a recurring feature in Wanscher’s designs) and gently curving back rails and arms, these beautiful chairs are completely original and in superb condition with some very modest fading commensurate with age.
