Vintage Pineapple Treen Tea Caddy.

Pineapple treen tea caddy in very fine condition.

From a time when tea was so expensive and had to be locked away.

It has a lovely colour and nice patina, a well-shaped hand carved caddy with no major damage.

A well carved tea caddy of good size and shape.

The caddy is still very usable or just for display.

Beautiful hand carved stork handle to the lid in green.

Silver plated stop hinge to lid and silver plated escutcheon to front.

Fully working silver plated lock and one key. Lid closes well.

Inside has a tea pewter finish.

Cloth on base for protection.

Very tactile item.

Most of these fruit caddies are continental made.

Georgian? Victorian?

A wonderful piece of treen and would be ideal for a collection.

Could be used for many other things.

Items posted - Buyers have 14 days from receipt of an item to return it for refund, you must contact me within the 14 day period. A refund for the cost of the item will only be offered if the item is returned in its original condition and in the original packaging. Buyer will be responsible for return postage costs which will not be reimbursed by the seller.

Overseas buyers may be liable for customs payments which is out of our hands, this will be down to the buyer to pay this and is not our liability. If item is returned due to non payment of any taxes, the postage costs will not be returned to the buyer.
