A decorative vintage Bokhara style rug featuring the classic all-over repeating gul motif on a warm salmon pink / terracotta ground, framed by multiple detailed geometric borders.

This attractive rug takes inspiration from traditional Central Asian Bokhara designs, with its orderly arrangement of stylised octagonal medallions and intricate border work creating a timeless and versatile decorative look. The soft, warm colouring makes it particularly easy to place in both traditional and contemporary interiors, whether used in a bedroom, hallway, study or smaller reception space.

Machine-made / commercially produced in the later 20th century, the rug offers the aesthetic appeal of traditional Eastern carpet designs at an accessible level, with a pleasingly soft decorative presence.
