Description

A charming early 19th century Regency period mahogany wine table, dating to circa 1810–1820, of elegant proportions and refined design.

The table features a beautifully figured circular mahogany top with an attractive raised pie crust moulded edge, enhanced with delicate beaded detailing. Raised on a slender turned pedestal support, the table stands on three elegant splayed legs with fine satinwood stringing, a lovely detail typical of the Regency taste for restrained decorative inlay.

Compact and highly versatile, this is the perfect antique occasional table, ideal beside a sofa or armchair as a lamp, drinks, or wine table, while equally lending itself well as a decorative accent piece in both traditional and contemporary interiors.

The warm colour and rich figuring of the mahogany, combined with the elegant proportions and classic Regency styling, make this an especially appealing example.

A smart and useful genuine Regency antique with timeless decorative appeal.
