Description

This elegant 18th century mahogany tilt-top tripod table is a fine example of Georgian furniture craftsmanship, dating to around 1780. Featuring a beautifully hand-carved piecrust edge and a rich, warm patina, the table rests on a finely turned central column with tripod legs terminating in claw-and-ball feet—a classic design feature of the period.

The tilt-top mechanism allows the table to be stored flat when not in use, making it both a decorative and space-saving piece. Whether used as a lamp table, wine table, or occasional table.

circa 1780
