Description

A very rare 18th century long stitch silkwork picture, depicting skaters on the Serpentine, London after an original painting by Julius Caesar Ibbettson, 1786, in an antique giltwood and gesso frame.
The colours are bright and the frame is worn and with slight damage in places, as can be appreciated in the pictures.
