Painter, draftsman, gouache painter. Training at the Academy of Charleroi (1935-1946). Between 1940 and 1948, he sought his own style and aesthetics. First exhibition at the Galerie "Le Parc" in Charleroi in 1949. He works both in a figurative and abstract style but most often opts for lyrical abstraction, through which he can express his personality without having to disguise his fight, his sorrow, his despair, his disgust. Around 1965, he got closer and closer to surrealism and worked with the "Phases" group. Winner of "La Jeune Peinture Belge" in 1959. Author in 1956 of a mural for the Bank of Africa in Brussels and in 1961, he worked on the decoration of a ceiling for the Bourse du Commerce et de l' Industry in Charleroi. Exhibited in Brussels at the Galerie "Saint-Laurent", at the Galerie "Quadri" in 1990 and at the Galerie "Dupuis" (Crédit Agricole) in 2002.
